While at Mercer Design, I led the visual identity development for the Commission on Water for Food Futures – an international initiative focused on sustainable water and food systems.
The brief
The Commission on Water for Food Futures (CWFF) – led by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) – required a new visual identity and logo to represent an international initiative focused on ensuring sustainable water and food systems for the future.
Working closely with the IWMI team, I created a logo and visual language that balances clarity, accessibility, and global relevance. The design process involved multiple concept rounds and stakeholder feedback, refining colour palettes, typography, and iconography to reflect the Commission’s mission.
The final identity features a clean, flexible mark supported by a set of thematic icons and a warm, distinctive palette – moving away from the typical greens and blues of the water sector to achieve a fresher, more memorable presence.
Deliverables included:
Logo and icon suite
Colour palette and font guidelines
Brand guideline document
Early explorations aiming to visualise the connection between water, food, and a sustainable future.
