About
Sam and Chloe Mutton founded the Musizi Joy Foundation in Uganda, a UK-registered charity. They concentrate on development projects that empower and provide for some of Kampala's most vulnerable residents. As a community-led charity, they run weekly projects for women, teenage mothers, children with disabilities, children in slum communities, and young men.
Brief
Formerly known as Joy for Children, the organisation was undergoing a complete rebranding. A logo that resembled a Musizi tree was requested, a tree that is known for its strength and deep roots—a representation of the charity's vision for its presence in Uganda.
Initial Concepts
An illustrative line icon for the tree motif was paired with a friendly, rounded font to convey approachableness.
Brand in use
Simple brand guidelines containing a colour palette and font were provided, in order for the charity's team in Uganda to easily create their own content in keeping with the overall brand.
